All the revenues from the auction of the Art for Understanding exhibition will go to the mind and motion project in Israel.
" Mind and motion" is an educational initiative of the Richmond Ballet, helping children discover important life and learning skills through a positive experience with dance and performance .
Richmond Ballet began to search for a new educational initiative in 1993. The Ballet wanted to create a program that would provide interaction with groups of students and professional dancers on a long-term basis. The organization was motivated by the belief that it is important for the company to provide services beyond the normal range of performances.
Now in its twenty-second year, Minds In Motion has successfully expanded from two to twenty-five schools, serving students from all over Virginia.
Mind and Motion in Israel
Mind and motion program in Israel began with Jewish students at Beit Yitzhak Elementary School in 2010. By 2012, it had evolved into a collaborative experience with Arab-Israeli students at Al-Salam in the village of Qalansuwa. In 2015, for the first time ever, the classes from Beit Yitzhak and Al-Salam performed together in a culminating performance in front of an audience of 1,500.
They danced together. As one.

A wanderful idea and an excellent performance by and with school kids Jews and arabs
